The Fresh Prince of Tanzan-air

Now this is a story all about how
My life got flipped-turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute
Just sit right there
I'll tell you how we built a school in a place called Tanzan-air

In north Tanzania we camped and brick laid
On the build site was where I spent most of my days
Rendering,mixin`,building a school
While team 5 spent some time by the pool
When a couple of guys were feeling no good
Started dropping rubble in my neighborhood
I used the wrong ratio and Stewart  got scared
he said, "You're movin' with the Mzungus in South Tanzan-Air."

I went for a crap but when I got near
I ran into the wall and felt rather queer
I ended up laying there cos I had a few minutes to spare
Then I thought, "Nah, forget it."
– "Yo, home to the tents-Air."

I pulled up to the lodge about 2 or 3
And I walked through the door, said"Yo homie where's ma tea"
I looked at the school
We were finally there
Whoops we forgot to put the roof on.quick out of tanzan-air

  3. bob right i have experienced the hardest day at work. yes it is harder than building a school in Africa. i had to try and work with not 1 but 2 dogs around me :( obviously i had to pet them but it was so difficult to try and work when a dog runs up to you. On a similar note Rodger started a dog 3 times the size of him ( it was hannah and niamhs dog so was okay ish) Rodger was getting annoyed at him so decided to join in in the barking and growling in middle of town. It ended after like 10 mins with Amie holding Rodger back and Hannah bleeding, typical day really. Hope you're enjoying yourself, not much longer until you can relax. Oh and i finally gave my mother the chocolate bar.
i love you lots gorgeous love from Em xxxx

  5. Loved the blog but yes, where is the roof? Are you not packing up camp soon?
Archie - it's Saturday lunchtime and your dad is dancing in the kitchen and making bacon sandwiches (surely proof that men can multi-tasking. Davy is on Minecraft. Molly-dog is hovering around the kitchen with ever-hopeful puppy dog eyes! We are going out tonight but where is our baby sitter? Yes, in Tanzania. We miss you and not just for looking after your brother. Enjoy the break you have coming up. Love mum, dad and Davy x

  6. Another great blog. The school looks fantastic although I hope you put the roof on before you leave for your rest week. Excitement is building here as we start the count down until you are home. Obviously you are dreading coming home to hot baths, clean sheets and soft beds.Oh and washing machine cleaned clothes. I've got the machine on standby ready for the mountains of washing you bring home, feel free to leave your dirty washing in Tanzania Izzy. Xxxxxx love Mum and Marc xx

  7. Found a new hat holly??? You all better be training for the games tommorow, their all planning the downfall of the mzungas and I might find myself routing for them. You better moisturise before going to church so your skin doesn't peel... serious hazard. Stella x

  17. Hi Charlotte, everything looking good. Will and Amelie here today. Both very impressed with all the work, although I think Will is more interested in the long drop!! Amelie wants to know if there are any 'cool boys' there. I said I'm sure there is.
Just one week to go, enjoy the rest, you all deserve it. Grandma and Drew xx

  18. Hi Joe.
Hope your having the best time. I'm so so proud of you and everyone there for doing what you're doing. You're all fabulous ❤️

I went to the match today and we won 1-0 against Sheffield. The away fans were fuming because they scored an off side goal but I think they were just mad that they can't buy a Parmo in a bun back at their ground.

Judith and Steve have gone to Singapore which is pretty exciting but I bought a multi pack of quavers yesterday which I reckon is better. All 12 bags are now deceased. Rest in packets 😇

The blogs are great and I can't wait to hear all about your African adventures when you get home. Keep having loads of fun and enjoy the sun while it lasts because the weather in England is shocking.
Look after yourself Joe. See you in a week!
    Love Grace xx
