New Campsite

Today we moved into the new campsite, following a celebration put on by the church to say thanks. We held our final flag break, and said a heartfelt goodbye to Mr Enessimo and Peter (our builder and labourer respectively) who were instrumental in the construction of the school.

We arrived this afternoon at Flamingo lodge with things being very different to the old campsite. Firstly our new long drops are bizarre, they have a handle, not to mention a small shower head attached to the side, which Kev had great fun firing into the sink (we haven't the foggiest what it is actually for). We now have showers, and to top it all off beds, even if the two of us only have one king sized bed between us(that should be fun). The pool is much nicer than the previous one, with Kev thinking the wet pit was a little too warm for his taste, so the cooler pool comes as a welcome relief. The dust will certainly not be missed , and we all look forward to relaxing and seeing animals starting tomorrow.

P.S. We are having trouble uploading photos onto the blog at the momeny, but will add them as soon as we can :)

  13. Well done Team Tanzania! What a fantastic achievement. You're all an inspiration to your peers and we are very proud of you all. Flamingo Lodge sounds like paradise....you all deserve your well earned rest! Btw...The shower head is to clean your sweaty bot bots...hahaaaa 😀. Message to jack sando...we went to not so sunny Scarborough on Saturday...in fact it was a very wet not so sunny Scarborough, however, we had a delicious bacon sarnie with a mug of milky coffee and Emma had a gourmet cheeseburger and chips from the Clock Tower cafe.....and then dad insisted we went rockpooling...he was in his element as he helped some kids find crabs and fishies from under the rocks. We are missing you so much son...not long til we see you soon. All our love mum, dad & Emma. Also nana & Grandad, and the rest of the gang send their love too xxxx

  16. Let the relaxation commence, hope you have an incredible day with your animals and more importantly functioning toilets, I'm taking ru to question the health and safety standards of light water valley with me, I worry I will discover it's not quite up to scratch while half way up the bloody rollar coaster, I guess you'll be able to make the judgement when I'm either still alive or not to comment tommorow.

    Missing you loads Molly.

  20. Hi Molly. Not much news from our end. We are going to Monk Park Farm today to see the animals and stroke and play with the little fluffy ones. Suspect the animals you see will be a bit more exciting, but please don't try to stroke or play with any of them. Do, however, take lots of photos. Enjoy the luxury of the new campsite with all its weird shower facilities. See you soon. Mum

  21. Update on light water valley, not the health and safety of the rides that's important but more the security of my glasses on my head. as they fly if at high speeds I attempt to plan a day with no vision, love stella
