( Read this with the music and just go with it)
Coming out of my tent and I've been doing just fine
Gotta gotta be up cos I can't be late
It started out with a brick how did it end up like this
It was only a brick
It was only a brick
Now I'm falling asleep and it's only.lunch time
While kev's taking a sh*t for the foooorrrrtthh time
Now they're mixing concrete and the ring beam is in
Got cement on my head
But I've got a hard hat on
Stu takes out a brick now
Windows innnnnn
And I just can't work it's killing me
Karens taking control
Brick laying
Passing bricks all day and night
Mixing cement all day long
Kev went in the pit today
Thirty quid the price they paid
Destiny was calling him
Shutting up his frightened eyes
Cos he's Mr Sh*tside
I'm coming out of my tent and I've been doing just fine
Gotta gotta be up cos I can't be late
Started out with a brick
How did it end up like this
It was only a brick
It was only a brick
Now I'm falling asleep and it's only tea time
Whilst kev's having a sh*t
For the fifth time
Now they're mixing concrete and the ring beam is in
Cement on my head
But I've got a hard hat on
Stu takes out a brick now
Windows innnnnn
Cos I just can't work it's killing me
Karen's taking control
Brick laying
Passing bricks all day and night
Mixing cement all day long
Kev went in the pit 30 quid the price they paid
Destiny was calling him
Shutting up his frightened eyes
Cos he's Mr Sh*tside
I never rest
I never rest
I never rest
I never rest

For a moment there I wasn't sure where that young man was, it could have been the disconstructed long drop toilet. Im still baffled or is it the Tanzanian version of a hot tub party. Whatever it looks like fun. Hope everything is going well. It is great having the blog to look at. Take care Jill Fidan xx
ReplyDeleteYou lot certainly know how to have fun, keep up the good work xx yvonne woodgate xx
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the sing-a-ling blog. I was worried for Kev for a minute there, not the pit I was thinking of, phew! Love Wx (Bob's Mum)

ReplyDeleteToday I found myself in the biggest antique book shop ever, an old train station converted. I promise to take you when you get back! My last few texts didn't seem to go through but I'll happily try again tommorow. The scaffolding is looking more and more precarious in pictures by the day, I'll buy you a penguin classic as bribe if you stay down off it for my peace of mind. You're pulchritudinous and as we've passed the half way point I'm officially excited for when you come back. Stella x

ReplyDeleteAnother great blog x not sure what song it was suppose to be, but sang along using my own tune!! What is the pit??? Is it the Tanzania way of mixing concrete??
ReplyDeleteOscar me & dad made it to Pierrefonds in France, today where they shot the TV series Merlin (your favourite when you where 8) We got talking to an English guy about you going toTanzania and it turns out he know Phil. Phil parks his van on his nana's drive!!! But doh didn't get his name!! But we know his wife was French!!! Small World!!!
Also G/mar & Aunty Kim, G/Dad & Nana and Alice plus the rest of the family are all reading the blog daily. But you know what they like are with tech so not able to comment xxx
Archie, so wonderful to see your name finally! What have you done to my favourite song? It will never be the same again but I loved it 😄. Very clever.
ReplyDeleteLike everyone else, I'm wondering what's going on with the pit?? Have you accidentally cemented someone into the foundations?
Missing you loads - got loads of questions I'd like to ask, like is your tent tidy? Maybe take a photo. Lots of love, mum,dad and Davy x
Me again, I've snuck two in one post, all self imposed rules are breaking down and anarchy ensues. Home alone today awaiting an all mighty amazon delivery of stationary, I'm referring to today as a second Christmas. I sat for a good twenty minutes today trying to figure out how you lot were going to build a roof, I imagined you placing bricks side to side and having to wait for them to dry before the next one. Was not my finest hour and bennie can officially steal my title, I'll stick to ikea wardrobes from now on. Stella x
